I took progesterone suppositories for the better part of a year and a half while ttc and never prevented ovulation. The progesterone is excreted from your body which is while you need to take it daily to keep the levels up during the leutal phase and it will not build up. If you were to continue taking it even after your period were to come then I would assume it could effect ovulation but as long as you stopped taking it when you get af it would be excreted from you body.
