The reason that 70% of VBACs are succesful is because the next pregnancy is different, different baby, perhaps smaller (oddly enough, sometimes bigger), maybe better contractions, maybe a week or two earlier, maybe no meconium, maybe better presentation of the head, maybe more motivated mom, maybe, maybe, maybe. I believe VBAC is worth a try the great majority of the time. Of course, if your hospital doesn't do them anymore (thank you personal injury lawyers), then you are going to have to go somewhere else to try one if you want.
