The fact is that we won't know if the baby is too big for your pelvis until you give it a try at the end of pregnancy. There are so many factors here. First, the fact that you are petite does not necessarily or even usually mean that your pelvis is small. I have seen women less than 5 feet tall delivery 10 pound babies without a hitch, so don't sell yourself short (sorry, bad pun). Second, neither the U/S nor the abdominal measurements are all that accurate for weight anyway, and the farther you go in pregnancy, the less accurate they become. Third, the weight today is not the delivery weight 2 months from now, and we might, and probably will, have a entirely different situation come the big day. I guess the point I am trying to make is that it is pointless, and potentially self-defeating, to worry to much today about something that you can neither control nor accurately predict. Besides, your body is capable of amazing things. It is an unqualified wonder that anyone can be born vaginally, and yet we are, day after day, all over the world. Give yourself some faith.
