I temporarily live overseas for my husband's work. Im not sure things are done here they way they are done back home. On May 7, I started to miscarry (during my seventh week of pregnancy). My doctor prescribed misoprostol to help the process complete naturally (i.e., without doing a d&c). On May 24, the miscarriage still was not complete and I was in a great deal of pain. I was checked into the hospital and a D&C was performed the next day. I had some spotting and pain for the first few days, but then it cleared up. Now it is June 7, a few days ago, I noticed that I having some period like cramping. Now, I'm bleeding like I have a period. On a scale of 1 to 10, with one being spotting and 10 being heavy bleeding, I would say I'm bleeding at about a 4.

In your opinion, is it possible that I am starting to menstrate so soon after the D&C?

A few other related questions. Doctor here says we must wait 3 cycles before trying again. Is that really necessary? Also, in your opinion how long do we have to wait to have intercourse again? Can I go swimming once this bleeding stops or do I need to wait a bit longer?
