Too much vitamin D

I am 36 weeks pregnant. I take a lot of calcium because I am a vegetarian and do not drink milk and rarely eat cheese or other calcium rich foods. To my horror I just realized that I have been taking 1000 IU of vitamin D since about 20 weeks (the vitamin D is in the calcium supplement). In my pregnancy books, I have just read that vitamin D is very toxic and can cause all kinds of problems with a fetus.

I have a call into my doctor but she has not called me back yet.

Does anyone have any insight on this????

Thanks
