Hi Dr. von Almen. I see that you're from New Orleans, so I thought you might be able to answer this question. A recent article in the Times Picayune and numerous news reports have been discussing how some crawfish and shrimp imported from China has been tested and found to have traces of a dangerous antibiotic. Additionally, my friend who's taking prenatal classes at East Jefferson and told me that the a teacher of one of these classes warned students not to eat ANY seafood (Shellfish or Fish). Do you advise your patients in Louisiana to abstain from eating seafood until after safely delivering their babies? Thanks for your help!!!
