Re: Bacterial VaginitisFrom: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 May 2002 13:18:02 -0500 (CDT)
it could be BV, but usually (from what i have read, and what my docs have said) BV has an odor. i have had 2 BV infections in tihs pregnancy and both had the smell. i would call your doctor and see if you can come in for a culture. it SOUNDS like BV, but since they will have to wrtie teh script for the antibiotics, they might as well make sure. there are connections between BV and preterm labor, but if treated, i have been assured it will be ok. the protocol at my doctor's office is after the second infection treat the husband as well. if you are having regular sex, you might want to have your hubby treated as well so you don't pass it back and forth. hope this helps =) love, paula
