Re: Thanks for your answer. When to start the new chart? From: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 May 2002 10:22:44 -0500 (CDT)
I counted the first day of bleeding as day 1. However, I didn't anticipate ovulation until about 12-15 days from when temp dropped. For 3 micarriages that worked like clockwork. Ovulation was delayed exactly as long as temps remained elevated. However (!) in one cycle, I had high temps for the 1st 6 days while bleeding, but ended up getting a surge on cd 10 and ovualting cd 12. So be prepared for the unexpected. But definately count cd1 as first day of bleeding. Trying to factor in all the other stuff is too confusing I think. But as long as you make notes so you can have an idea of what to expect. Here's how I know also. I almost without exception get my surge 4 days from the first day of any appearance of ewcm. So even if it's just a small amount on cd 8, I end up with a surge on cd12. And almost without expection, i get my first appearance of ewcm 6-8 days from temp drop. So if temp drop is delayed, first appearance of ewcm is delayed, and hence ovulation delayed. I hope this helps! If this was an early miscarriage, your betas will be at less than 5 pretty darn quick. My betas never got above 100, so within 2-3 days they were gone. In fact my betas were less than 5 before I even started bleeding!
