temperature not dropping much during menstrual cycle??

Just a quick question for those who may be familiar with this... I am almost 37...TTC#1.... This is my 6th cycle off BCPs...I had 28 day cycles the 1st 3 months...a 30 day cycle...and the last one was 26 days... (LPs of 12-14 days)

I started TTC/and charting 3 months ago..the 1st chart my temp dropped 2 days before AF was due... Since then my temp never drops below cover until about CD 8/9 or so...and my periods remain fairly light.

Anyone know what causes the elevated temps during AF??
