Re: Early Miscarriages - possible reasons?From: Jessica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 May 2002 07:14:20 -0500 (CDT)
Please call your doctor about the aspirin use- the causes of miscarriage that require aspirin are really rare (about 2% of the population), and if you take the aspirin when it is unnecessary, it can cause your blood to be less coagulated. If blood clots are not the problem causing the miscarriages (and at that early- the blood clotting problems are low on the list of possibilities), the aspirin is not useful. I have one of the disorders that requires aspirin use, and even then, there are thresholds and specific guidelines for use, in patients whom it is indicsted in... Please check with your personal physician about the aspirin... it may cause no harm, but you need more information specific to your situation.
