Confused about taking a TTC 'break' after m/cFrom: Fadette (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 May 2002 18:57:50 -0500 (CDT)
I'm getting conflicting answers from my OB: she recommends I wait 2-3 months before "actively trying", but "there is no problem if I get pg immediately". I don't get it. If there's no problem, why should we wait? I'm handling the emotional side my own way, so I don't need anybody else tell me when I'll be emotionally ready. But I need to know when I'll be physically ready. So, if we start TTC immediately, is there higher risk of another m/c than if we wait 2-3 months? Also, what do they mean by "not actively trying"? We normally have sex 2-3 times a week (the past week beeing an exception because I wasn't feeling well). So, are we supposed to use condoms when I get better and we resume intercourse?
