? for Dr. sorry for repostFrom: Dianna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 May 2002 17:04:50 -0500 (CDT)
I got an ultrasound today (at 22 weeks), and everything measured good. There was only a two day difference between the u/s measurements and my l.m.p. dates. While I know that there is no way to be 100% sure about birth defects, do the good measurements indicate that my baby will probably be normal? Would most birth defects show up on u/s? If not, what percentage of birth defects do not show up on u/s? I am 28 years old, and last September, I had a blighted ovum. I realize now that I should have gotten a triple screen test, but my dh persuaded me not to get one because I am already super paranoid, and we would keep the baby no matter what. Thank you very much for your help. It is sincerely appreciated.
