26w and cramping, how much is ok?From: paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 May 2002 15:36:47 -0500 (CDT)
i do not think i am having BH, yet this is my first pregnancy and i am not sure i would know a BH if i had one. i am feeling period-like cramps. no pattern, no way to time or count them..just the pressure/cramping like i am going to start my period. i have changed positions and it doesn't help...i drink about 3 liters of water a day, so i don't believe i am dehydrated..but i have still upped my fluid intake just in case...no change. i am not in major pain, but if i were not pregnant i would take ibuprophin and use a heating pad. i am 26w1d pregnant with a baby boy who is active. no change in his activy pattern. i have GD, but my blood sugars are controlled. no sign of a UTI, though i did have on earlier in this pregnancy. i also have Hypertension, well controlled. no change in discharge or fluid that i can tell. at my last u/s my cervical length was fine (3.42cm). the baby has been measuring right on schedule. i would call my Ob, but at the moment i am in the middle of being transferred to a high risk clinic and so am "between" doctors. my next appt is june 3rd. if anyone has any suggestions or experiences with this, i would appreciate any advice. i am not sure how much cramping is normal at this point. i am not paniced, just a little concerned. thanks a lot =) love, paula
