I am at 25 weeks and I tested positive for GBS and soem Ecoli infection in teh vaginal swab. My doctor has prescribed amoxycillin 500mg 3X a day. I am also taking turbutelien for PTI symptoms. I want to know if amoxycillin is used to treat ecoli infections? Alos, it seems that GBS is treated only during labor. Any ideas why my doc is treating it now?
