Dear Professor Crane,

I recently attended two scans at 19 & 22 weeks. After these we were taken aside and told that the femur length was less than would be expected and that this was a "soft marker" for Downs Syndrome. No other "soft markers" were present.

The measurements were;

#19: BPD = 52, FL = 19

#22: BPD = 56, FL5.1

Are these results exceptional, is there serious cause for concern.

Your comments would be appreciated - obviously I accept that you can only give an opinion with no background knowledge but any extra info. you cold give would be very helpful.

Thank-you
