I have taken amoxicillin for UTI. It worked as well for the UTI as other more typical UTI meds - bactrim & I forget the other one - but it also gave me a yeast infection, which it always does, and which the typical UTI antibiotics don't seem to... I think I took 500mg 2X day for three days. I know it was two capsules a day, I just don't recall the dose...
