That's correct. I thought mine was fine, too, which is why I had never used it. But the doc told me to try it and... Let's just say it can't hurt.

I'd say go as far as 3-day bloods (the first tests they do for infertility) but the ones that come next if they don't find anything there are invasive and painful (I'm thinking of HSG). Make him get checked before you go down that road. It's only fair. Male fertility rates decline at the same rate as female, with age, so he's no longer a "spring chicken" anymore. But I know how they can be. My hubby was relieved he didn't have to get his checked...

Insist on the Ureaplasma bc it is very common but, as I said, docs don't like to do it and you may get pushback. Ureaplasma is a kind of infection that I was told is related to a urinary tract infection but I never really got a clear answer from the doc. You can pass it back and forth to your husband, tho, which is why he has to be treated at the same time as you. Ask your doc... >
