Left to it's own devices, the placenta usually will deliver within 20-30 minutes. It is standard proceedure for many doctors to hasten the process, as their time is valuable and if you can complete this is 5 minutes rather than 30-40 when there is an office full of women waiting for them, why not? Well, unfortunately, what happened to you could well be one such reason why not...hard to say without having been there. I would ask the question...it is your right to know and very well might put your mind at ease, with a reasonable explanation. ANd this cold only increase your respect for your doctors, right? If there is no reasonable explanation, if this was caused by an error on their part, what good does it do that they are "nice"? How "nice" is it that hastening this process cost you your fertility? (If that is indeed what has happened)
