I'm not a doctor, so I can't address whether or not you are having syptoms of something more serious, but I will say that OPKs can act as a pregnancy test in that they will register positive if you are pregnant. The weird part is that your hpts were negative. Try using one of those First Response-EARLY RESULT tests (they're more sensitive) but ultimately, if you don't get your period on time (you didn't say how long your cycles are), go to your doc and get a blood test, just to be sure.
