36 1/2 weeks and a question on cephalopelvic disproportionFrom: kerry (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 13 May 2002 10:50:26 -0500 (CDT)
hello Dr, Ladies. I Am currently 36w4d LMP with our first baby..a boy. I went to L&D Friday night due to contractions and after an hour or so they became irregular again and I was sent home and told to monitor them. My baby's head is strating to engage, but not fully. My mother had cephalopelvic disproportion, and I am concerned about this, however have been told that they will not be able to tell until I am in the delivery room. I was just wondering, if the babies head is not going to fit, will it have problems even engaging? Also, do women with this problem usually have to be induced rather than go into spontaneous labor? Thankyou for your insight and help
