Yup, that's right! But that doesnt remove the fun of speculating and wondering.

And I would have to amend even this and say that the baby is a gift regardless of whether it is healthy or not, perfect or not. There are no guarantees and the baby born perfect today may end up differently abled six years later as a result of accident or illness.

As a mom who had six daughters before a son (and perfectly happy with it and expecting to have nothing BUT girls) I have to say that very often it is the gift that we didnt think we wanted or needed that is sometimes the most amazing blessing of all!
