TTC - Confused about Pregnancy Symptoms and Negative TestsFrom: Shawna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 8 May 2002 10:47:13 -0500 (CDT)
Hi. I'm hoping that you could help me figure out what may be going on. I am currently on C/D 46. My LMP was 03/24/02. I took 50mg of Clomid on C/D's 5-9 as instructed & have been charting my BBT too. This is my 2nd cycle with the 50mg of Clomid, my doctor has also prescribed prometrium (sp?) that I must take to bring on my period. I have been charting with 3 different programs. Babymed says I o'd on C/D 23, Fertility Friend says I o'd on C/D 25 - C/D 27, & finally TCOYF says I o'd on C/D 29. Why the flucuation in dates? Which should I go by? I know it's common to have breast tenderness while taking the Clomid.(I DO NOT get breast tenderness or a darkening of my areolas before my period.)My breasts were slightly tender after the Clomid, but it only lasted a few days. About a week ago they became tender & swollen, my areolas have begun to darken and they seem larger too. I have become more tired & have had an increase in urination. I haven't had any "morning sickness" per say, but my stomach has been more sensitive. I took an HPT on 5/3/02 and it was -. Another hpt at the DR's on 5/7/02 it was - too. They did a quantitative blood test on me;it was a 2. (They said that to be considered pregnant I'd have to have a 10+.) Is that the general rule of thumb? Could we have tested to early, given the "different" dates of ovulation? How can I be having early pregancy symptoms and not be? What else could be going on? Should I test again? Should I have an examine or an U/S done at this point?
-- Thanks very much for your advice! I appreciate your time!
