I had similar pain with my first pregnancy...about the same stage as you. I went to l&D and it was "determined" to be a "twisted ureter". They did the same for me...painkillers and lots of fluids. EVENTUALLY it went away. I don't know if it is the same thing as what you are experiencing, but it was a radiating pain in my side/back about 3-4 inches above my hip bone. It sure was excruciating! I hope you feel better!
