I went into labor with my first child at 34 weeks. They stopped it with the shots and pills, but I continued to have contractions for the next five weeks. I lost my mucous plug at about 36 weeks (had two monster contractions right before I lost it). Managed to keep the little guy in until 6 days before his due date. When the contractions got bad, I just went to bed and took it really easy. Good luck! Oh yes, it was really annoying and nerve wracking having contractions that long wondering "is this it?"
