We need to get the word out! From: Katie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 1 May 2002 09:56:17 -0500 (CDT)
I recently wrote in about being RH negative and not getting a Rhogam shot after my miscarrige last year. At the time, I had no idea my blood type mattered and my doctor never even mentioned it. Thanks to those who sent me messages in reply. Well, my antibody test was negative so no harm done in my case. My question is why wouldn't all doctors address this with any woman having a miscarriage? I am so concerned that there are many women out there who are under medical care, yet still not being told that her blood type could be important. There is probably no answer to my question but I just thought I would post it for greater awareness. Thanks.
