Size at seven weeks (Dr. Please)....From: Dianna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 1 May 2002 09:49:19 -0500 (CDT)
I am now 18 weeks along, but have started thinking about an ultrasound that I had early during my pregnancy. At seven weeks, six days, my doctor dated my baby at 8 weeks five days. (His measurements were according to "B.P.D.") I am ABSOLUTELY SURE about when I conceived, and I know that there was no way possible that my dates were off (If anything, the baby would have been younger). Is the B.P.D. measuring large indicative of down's syndrome? Also, my h.c.g. levels were pretty high during early pregnancy? I turned down having the triple screen test because I will keep my baby no matter what. I guess what I am looking for now is just assurance that I have no greater chances of having a baby with down's syndrome than someone else who's also 28 years old. Thanks soooo much for your help!!!!!
