Re: What more can I do??? :) all suggestions welcomeFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Apr 2002 18:30:16 -0500 (CDT)
Good site for infertility questions: http://www.inciid.org/forums/infertility/index.html However, I know what that good doc will tell you. Go to an RE. Just because you have all the "signs" doesn't mean you are ovulating. You could have hostile cervical mucous, immune issues, all sorts of things that only an RE can diagnose. Could be something major but could be something minor. My insurance did not cover much. You might want to check and see if they cover the blood tests. That can help a lot. An IUI is only about $300 and might do the trick depending on your situation. I had many tests, including HSG, u/s, lots of bloodwork, two rounds of clomid and an IUI and I would say my out-of-pocket was about $800 - $1000. So if you could find a way to squeeze some money out of the budget, perhaps it would work for you to see an RE. I'm certainly not advising anyone to go into debt but I guess you have to decide what you're tolerance is. I wish you the very best of luck and hope that this is your cycle and you won't need any more advice!! PS. I'm not a doc, just one who's been there.
