Absolutely--but I wouldn't jump and do it unless your cervix was ripe, i.e. dilated, softened, etc., since it is your first baby.

I would guess that the best course is to see how you feel. My gut is that you will be better, and that this would be better done after 6 weeks. You are at a higher risk of blood clots near delivery, and that risk (while small) is a reason that I would delay if you feel well enough.
