I am pregnant with our 4th child. My youngest is almost 9 years old. My doctor has given us the option of an amniocentesis. He does not give an opinion one way or the other regarding it. We will not terminate the pregnancy no matter what the results would be. Do our benefits outweigh the risks? What exactly would the test show us?
