I'm not a doc, but I think it's better to have some food and no vitamin vs. vitamin and no food. At my doctor's suggestion, I stopped taking my prenatal until my 2nd trimester when I was pregnant with my son. He was born a very healthy 8lbs. I've done the same thing for this pregnancy. I was sicker this time around... a girl maybe? I'll start taking them again soon, since I'm feeling better. Good luck! btw, there's alot of info about this in the archives.
