I have heard of more moms whose babies had echogenic bowel and all was fine than those who saw this and actually had problems.

Would the doctor lie >to me (I know that that is a hard question to answer, since you don't
>know him, but what are the ethics involved in a case like this?)and give
>me "false" or "elevated" hope when he shouldn't?

I would imagine that he would be much more concerned about the risk of a malpractice suit than hurting your feelings or making you feel sad.

But I know that reassurances only go so far when it is your own baby that you are worried about. Praying for peace and answers for you.
