Here is my experience/input. Last year I had a u/s at 8w6d which showed a h/b. I flew to FL (3 1/2 hour flight with one stopover) 4 days later. When I returned from FL, a routine u/s at 12w showed the fetus had stopped developing at 9w3d - 1 day after my plane flight. I always wondered whether the flight had anything to do with the m/c, even though my dr and the ob that performed my d&c said it was highly unlikely that it did (I had asked my dr's office if it was ok to fly and they had said yes). So who knows? I am an older ttc'r, too (age 40) and when (if!) I get pg again, I don't think I'll fly in the first trimester. Congratulations on your pg - I wish you a happy and healthy 9 months. Alison
