Curious--labor stories

I am due this week. I was 1cm for two weeks, and this week not quite 2cm. I have occasional contractions; 2 to 4 hours apart. This is what I DIDN'T want--just sitting around waiting & wondering when labor will start. I know each pregnancy is different, but I would like to hear some stories of others' experiences going into labor, as this could last a couple days or a couple more weeks!!!
