I really needed that reasurance. I spoke with her again today and she insists that an ultrasound is not needed yet. I got a little more info. On the first test the neural tube defect ratio was 1 in 200. Also, my mother had a baby die shortly after birth but was never given a medical cause of death. They said very little to her and she was 16, a long time ago. Anyway, I am very concerned that the results of the test pending will not be reliable and will bring me no reasurance. She is plannig to do a regular office ultrasound on the 29th at my next appointment but insists that i'll just have to wait till then before we'll know anything. I understand that a screening is not a definate but I feel the course of action she has choosen is unnacceptable. Any ideas on what to do or how to go about getting something done? And thanks again
