Pulmicort reduces inflammation, is used as a maintenance drug for asthmatics in pregnancy. It is also sometimes prescribed for more severe cases of bronchitis. I don't think the doctor would prescribe it if it weren't safe. The medication from inhalers mainly remains local- not that much gets in your bloodstream. Many women have to use inhalers throughout their pregnancy for asthma, and have healthy babies.
