Caroline, This is only my opinion: I just had a baby in May 01 at 36 and am about to have another baby at in July at 37. I decided to go with the level II u/s instead of the amnio both times. Consider this, they can catch a lot on u/s, and if your choice is to keep the baby even if something is wrong, why put yourself through that. This is only my thoughts and I am not a doctor. My boy that was born in may 01 had NEC and almost died, but this is soemthing that can't be caught with an amnio. So think it out.
