This may seem silly, but here goes: I am 36 weeks and was a bit clumsy getting out of bed this morning- half asleep, I swung out of bed and crashed full-force stomach-first into the sharp edge of my nightstand and dragged my abdomen along it about 2 inches or so. (Hold the applause, please!) It made a scar, but didn't break the skin- but I'm worried that it might have hurt the baby because it felt like the sharp edge penetrated fairly deep. He was moving at the time and the injury occurred right in the area where he had been kicking. He quit kicking after that, but resumed later in the day and I haven't noticed anything different since. Could this have injured the baby in any way?
