Noticed you've been waiting for an answer. Fibroids aren't caused by pregnancy, but sometimes they grow during a pregnancy. Usually fibroids don't cause a miscarriage ,and they don't usually disappear. (they can shrink during menopause). Just to resassure you, I and many other women have had children with multiple fibroids. One of mine was quite large. There's more information on fibroids and pregnancy in the archives. As far as BCP go I think the current thinking is they don't cause fibroids to grow (that used to be what was thought). See your doc for more info- I hope this helps in the meantime.
