Repost - Fibroids and pregnancyFrom: Tracy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 7 Apr 2002 18:36:24 -0500 (CDT)
During my amnio, the technician spotted a fibroid - didn't say much about it, just that I had one. Things with the baby didn't work out (miscarriage) and I had to have a D&E 3 weeks ago. :( Now I'm having a bit of pain in my lower left abdomen. It's NOT an ovarian cyst because I had that ovary removed, but it does remind me of that type of pain. I doubt it's a complication of my procedure but I'm trying to get back in to see the perinatologist regarding this. Could this be the fibroid? How long do they take to disappear if they are caused by pregnancy? Should I avoid using BCP's if it is? Thank you so much for answering!! You doctors are just the best!!!
