Hi Sara, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know what a how difficult that is. Speaking from experience after my first loss I was also told it was a fluke and for many women especially over the age of 35 it is genetically related. Basically all most doctors will do is follow your hcg levels until they are usually below 5 and your bleeding has stopped. Testing is usually offered after 3 m/c but over the age of 35 I would request testing after 2. I hope things go well for you in the future.
