retroflex ueterus, 11 weeks pregnant

My midwife yesterday said that she thinks my uterus is not just retroverted, but retroflexed. I've been having some concerning cramping for a few days (at 11 weeks LMP) and went in to get it checked out.

Is it normal for a retroverted and retroflexed uterus to cause cramping (on both sides of the abdomen) as it "corrects" itself and moves into the proper position? If so, how much longer until it moves into the right position? What if it doesn't?

Does having a retroflexed uterus mean that the baby might have problems with restricted growth due to the fold in the uterus? Are there are any special problems I should be aware of?

She was able to find the heartbeat (finally) but she had to do an internal exam and push on my uterus in order to find it.

I've never heard of a retrflexed uterus and am terrified that it might be a cause for a miscarriage or abnormalities. I found nothing about this in the archives.

Thanks so much.
