Re: For Fadette - Morning-After PillFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 31 Mar 2002 22:30:22 -0600 (CST)
No, you didn't use supposedly. But it's no big deal. Personally, I'm not worried about getting "kicked out". I didn't insult, attack, or presume anyone's religious anything - our world is too diverse to be so presumptuous. This forum is composed of a public with obstetrical and gynecological interest. And the public comes in many shapes, colors, sizes, and stories. As a matter of fact, I extended a very heartfelt thank you to another contributor for observing this diversity earlier today. But I do hope it was an effective lesson for you -- honestly, I do. I'm sure you meant well. Back to statistics. You may want to double-check your response thread. My first response to you included the 75% success rate of ECP according to a clinical pharmacology report on Preven, circa 1998. I believe you countered with 70%. To paraphrase the statistical example used in the report, if 100 women used ECPs, only 2 would become pregnant as opposed to 8 without ECP use. Dr. Shanahan summed it up perfectly by saying it lowered the chance of pregnancy. And although it wasn't the case for me a year ago, it is better than nothing. We do agree on that. Like I said before, I think - in our own ways - you and I are rooting for the same cause which is effective birth control. Oh, by the way, good luck as you TTC. I hope you're successful. Keep the forum posted to how it goes, okay? -Dalane
