I live in California, but I'm from Mexico. During my first pregnancy I visited my family several times, and never got sick. These are the things I would recommend you to do if you decide to go: 1) ALWAYS bottle water. NEVER tap water. 2) STAY AWAY from seafood. Hard to do in Cancun, but one time my sister got really sick down there after eating seafood. Don't take any chance. 3) NEVER eat food from the street. Just eat at restaurants or inside the hotel. - Martha
