Preconception appt w. Ob: What to expect? How to prepare?

I have a preconception appointment with my Ob in two weeks.

I had my annual exam with pap smear 3 weeks ago. My Gyn then prescribed prenatal vitamins, and I started taking them.

I'd like to know what exactly this preconception appointment is. I've never met the Ob, so this is the first time I'll get to talk to her.

So, will she (or, should she) do some tests on me? Will this be just a "get-to-know-each-other" chat? Should I bring my husband with me?

What questions should I ask her?

I'm worried about the fact that I'm almost 38, so I plan to ask her if she has experience with infertility treatment, and if she has any recommendations because of my age.

I started charting my temperature beginning this cycle, so I'll be able to bring her one temperature chart.

I'd appreciate any suggestions of what to ask her and what to look for in her answers.

Also, if you can point me to web sites that will help me prepare for this appointment, I'd appreciate that, too.
