What type of pain is associated w/ a ppartum uterine infection? I was gbs+ and contracted a uterine inf. during delivery, but was put on ampicillan and then taken off it when my fever went away. They said I can be sure I have no infection unless 1) I have a fever of 100.4+, and 2) I have severe pelvic pain worse than contractions - I guess I don't understand exactly where this pain would be. Is it completely different than lower adominal, diarrhea-type cramps? Can diarrhea be assosiated with a uterine infection?
