With the first, no h/b was seen at 12w after seeing a h/b at 8w6d. I had no signs of m/c when the u/s gave us the bad news. My dr said it could be days or weeks until I started m/c'ing. I elected to have a d&c rather than live with the agony of wondering when it would start. It took 6 wks for af to return and I had to deal with a lot of spotting, etc. The 2nd m/c was a blighted ovum discovered at 7w. On that one I had already begun spotting so I elected to go naturally and had the full m/c 2 days after the u/s. I did not need a d&c, and got af without any spotting or other complications 4 wks later. I felt the d&c screwed up my body more, but I still think I'd do it again if I was showing no signs of m/c (although I hope I NEVER have to deal with it again). Take care, Alison
