If the condom turns blue then you will prove that you are leaking fluid. Although chances are if you are leaking fluid you will go to labor. If you're amniotic fluid is less than 5 cm then I agree with induction. If on the other hand the amniotic fluid is normal, then I don't think it is unreasonable, especially if you live far from the hospital, to induce you at 39 weeks which would allow you to get enough to antibiotics in your system, to cover the baby from Group B. Strep.
