I am 37wk 1day pregnant with my first child and I tested positive for GBS. Two weeks ago I went into labor and delivery to be checked because I felt like I was "leaking" something. They did an ultrasound and found my amniotic fluid level at "5". They told me it was low and that they would check me to see if I was leaking. Theay checked with the paper strip and said that it wasn't amniotic fluid, however since the fluid was low they decided to keep me overnight to have another ultrasound done the next morning. The next ultrasound the next morning measured my fluid at "9". so they let me go home and told me to drink lots of fluid and two days later I was to have one more ultrasound to check the levels. Two days later the level were at "13". so my doctor left it at that....My question is this: I am now 37wks and a day and I was always measuring a week ahead until this past monday where I measured a week smaller. Could this be because the fluid is back down again? I am very concerned because of the GBS, I still feel like I am leaking something but they keep telling me is discharge.. another question is, I am terrified to go into labor and not be able to get the antobiotics on time for the GBS. should I take into consideration induction after 38wks just to make sure that I get the antobiotics during labor and that my water doesn't rupture before? also if my fluid is low again should they induce? Thank you very much for your answer, sorry this was so long
