Re: Sudafed in pregnancy?

Hey, Kris-

If it makes a difference- I also have a history of placental trouble and abruption, and I have been told, repeatedly, by several different ob's and perinatologists, that taking Sudafed occasionally would pose no risk to the fetus at all, and no risk to the placenta.

I am just coming off a nasty ear infection, and my current perinatologist and family practice both encouraged me to use Sudafed to relieve the pressure and encourage drainage.

I know each case is individual, and you have to do what feels right to you, but I took the Sudafed maybe 5 times in a 10 day period. I didn't overdo it, but I didn't take it occasionally to try and help relieve the pressure.

Hope that helps... Jessica
