3rd miscarriage on the way - do I have hope?From: Jenny (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 14 Mar 2002 12:12:17 -0600 (CST)
I tested positive for p/g this Tuesday at 4wk2day (lmp 2/11): beta HCG is 472 and progestorne is more than 40. But yesterday evening all of a sudden my p/g symptoms were gone: nipples and breasts are no longer sore; mild nausea also disappeared. I just don't feel pregnant. I had another bloodwork done this morning and am still waiting for the result; but I trust my six sense. With my last m/c, h/b was seen when I had p/g symptoms and when those symptoms suddenly disappeared I felt sth was wrong and went in for a check and the h/b was no longer found at 7/8 wk and later they found it was due to trisomy 22. The first m/c was at 5 wk and no reason found. Blookwork for me and DH to test for genetic problem: normal; I do not have LPD, no ANA, ACA, and lupus-AC; HSG normal; day 3 hormorne all normal. Then what is wrong with me or DH? Why can't I keep the pregnancy? If the second m/c was an accident then what's the reason for the first and this one? The embryo didn't develop well? If so why the abnormal development happened twice since my eggs are still good (day3 fsh 4.8)? Or like what I was told the chromosomal abnormality may exist in the ovary or DH's testes? But I know it is VERY rare. If assume this is our problem, does that mean that every single egg in the ovary or every single sperm in the testes has chromosome problem and we do not have any hope? I've been living in hell for the past 2 years. Please give me a guidance or direction I can follow to the fulfillment of baby dream! Thank you for the help!
